Harry Potter Book 7

Harry Potter 7 -- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Uhm. That title makes me wonder...

Deathly {October 31st} = {Death on} {October 31st} ?

The. Ultimate. Death.

???????

Me either!

I finally began attempting to read Eldest again. The book is pretty amazing. I can't believe I didn't want to read it before! I guess I'll try to finish it this week, then go see Eragon.

So many things are coming out (hopefully) soon. I'm pretty excited. Ahh, and I wonder when Maximum Ride the movie comes out...? The internet tells me 07, but one can never know.

I was reading one of Mugglenet's Fan of the Week and saw that someone thought 'Hallows' was a place.

I didn't think it could possibly be a place.

I mean, there was 'Godric's Hollow', with an O. Different meanings, though.

'Hallows' (search on Google):
...("holy" or "holy night") the Oct. 31 Greater Sabbat, also called November Eve, the Celtic Samhain ("sow-en"); the beginning of the Celtic winter, and of the Celtic year; the beginning of the Witches' Year, when the Veil Between the Worlds grows thin and the spirits of the dead may return to Earth; the Descent of the Goddess to the Underworld; the final Harvest festival.

...name used by some traditions for Samhain, or Halloween.

And I was listening to the Mugglecast when I realized (with a little help from a Mugglenet fan) that in the middle of the definition was something about "when the Veil Between the Worlds grows thin and the spirits of the dead may return to Earth," which I must have skipped over the first time I read it.

Oh my. Quite a lot of room for thinking, J.K. left us with.
