Me and You
You don't know me,
You don't have a clue,
You don't know my secrets,
You don't know what's new,
You haven't really talked
To me,
If you have it was all lies,
You cannot see beneath my skin,
I can see that in your eyes.
You look through me,
I look at you.
A difference there,
I learned.
But one day soon
A second glance
Will tell me that you know.
You see me there,
I see you too,
For who we really are.
And like a fantasy,
We'll drive away,
Leaving our troubles
Behind.
You don't have a clue,
You don't know my secrets,
You don't know what's new,
You haven't really talked
To me,
If you have it was all lies,
You cannot see beneath my skin,
I can see that in your eyes.
You look through me,
I look at you.
A difference there,
I learned.
But one day soon
A second glance
Will tell me that you know.
You see me there,
I see you too,
For who we really are.
And like a fantasy,
We'll drive away,
Leaving our troubles
Behind.
